2018 North Dakota State Fair, Where Summer Shines

MINOT, N.D.—2018 was a monumental year for the North Dakota State Fair. Visitors from across North Dakota, Minnesota, South Dakota, Montana, Canada, and the other states came to the North Dakota State Fairgrounds in Minot to enjoy the food, rides, concerts, and North Dakota culture on display. Attendance this year totaled 318,248 over the nine days of the Fair, an increase of 19,171 from 2017.

On a beautiful first day of the North Dakota State Fair, 7 judges walked the Fairgrounds in search of the best new Fair food. The American Trust Center Food Frenzy competition highlights never-before-seen foods at the North Dakota State Fair, and competing vendors pit their delicacy against others across the Fairgrounds.

The North Dakota State Fair knows how important saving money is. With special discount days and other ways to save, it’s easy to spend just a little and have a ton of fun. Bargain Bites brought the savings to the midway. Food vendors across the fairgrounds were tasked with slashing their prices and putting foods on display that were $5 or under.
